Cutting through the noise

Sometimes the simplest message can have the greatest impact. This year the inundation of Black Friday and Cyber Monday promo emails seemed heavier than ever before.

"Black Friday Sneak Peak!" "50% off entire site!" "Early access for our favourite customers" "Up to 75% of Cyber Monday deals!"

Each subject line, with its bold, discount-heavy promise, attempted to shout down the other, but, instead, became an additional decibel in the incessant wave of noise.
